We are looking for qualified Japanese-language teachers with real teaching experience. Here is what we require, how we assess applicants and what happens after you apply.

✦ The requirement
The teacher must be a qualified teacher, with at least 2 years teaching experience. This is not enough. We will test your ability until you exceed our minimum requirement.
But not to worry — just send through your resume, you will find out soon.
Beginners may need more time, and that is normal. The teacher should follow the learner’s pace.
A good teacher can see why something is difficult for a learner, even when it feels obvious to a native speaker.
They can explain clearly without turning every lesson into a grammar lecture.
This is harder to judge from a CV, which is why we include a trial lesson.

Teaching
You will teach live online lessons to adults, from complete beginners in Foundation 150 to Customized 1-to-1 learners with specific goals. The course materials and lesson order are already prepared, so you can focus on teaching.
Internship
A three-month marketing and content internship, available remotely or onsite. The work includes website copy, social media and other content learners see before booking a lesson. The internship is unpaid, with the possibility of paid employment afterwards.

We review your qualification and teaching experience against the minimum requirements.
We ask about your teaching experience and how you approach lessons.
You teach a trial lesson and we assess it. This is the most important stage for most applications.
Training on our lesson order, homework marking and progress records.
We agree your schedule, assign classes and prepare you for your first lesson.
What this means for students
Whatever program you take, your teacher will have a teaching qualification, at least two years of teaching experience, a successful trial lesson and training on our curriculum.
