Terms of service

These terms govern the use of the Nihongo One website and the lessons provided by Lingua One Corporation. By enrolling in a course you agree to them.

1. The service

We provide live online Japanese lessons taught by qualified human teachers from Japan, together with guided self-study, homework, feedback and progress checks as described for each course.

2. Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed once we have agreed a start date with you and payment has been received in accordance with the terms shown on our Specified Commercial Transactions page.

3. Lessons and attendance

• Lesson times are agreed in advance. Please tell us as early as you can if you cannot attend.
• Rescheduling and missed-lesson policy — to be supplied
• Your teacher may change during a course. Course content and quality do not.

4. Fees and cancellation

Fees, payment timing and our cancellation and refund policy are set out on the Specified Commercial Transactions page and form part of these terms.

5. Learning materials

Materials we provide are for your personal study. Please do not copy, redistribute, publish or resell them, or share recordings of your lessons.

6. Conduct

We expect courtesy toward teachers and fellow learners. We may end a course without refund in cases of harassment, abuse or repeated disruption.

7. Liability

We provide lessons with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for interruptions caused by your equipment or internet connection, or by events outside our reasonable control.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes affecting enrolled students will be notified by email.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Court of jurisdiction — to be supplied
